The banlist in force: five cards and three pairs
The 10 April 2026 restriction list bans five cards outright — two of them Leaders — and adds three pairwise exclusions that are easy to miss.
The restriction list that took effect on 10 April 2026 for the English regions is short, but it works in two different ways, and the second one catches people out.
The five outright bans
These are banned regardless of format:
- OP03-040 Nami — Leader, Blue, block 1
- ST10-001 Trafalgar Law — Leader, Red/Purple, block 2
- OP06-047 Charlotte Pudding — Character, Blue, block 2
- OP06-086 Gecko Moria — Character, Black, block 2
- OP06-116 Reject — Event, Yellow, block 2
Two of the five are Leaders, which is unusual — banning a Leader deletes an archetype rather than trimming one.
Note that four of the five are block 2, which is inside the current Standard window. These are not cards the rotation would have handled; they were banned on their own merits.
Bans apply to the card number
This matters for collectors more than for players. A ban is keyed to the card number, so every printing of it is banned — the alt-art, the parallel, the manga rare. There is no version of OP06-086 that is legal.
The inverse is also true and worth internalising: if you own a beautiful alternate-art copy of a banned card, it is still banned, and if you own an alternate art of a legal card, it is legal. Identity for deck rules is the card number. Identity for your collection is the printing. Those are genuinely different keys, and collected.gg tracks them separately for exactly this reason.
The three pairs are the easy miss
Three pairs of cards may not appear in the same deck. Each card is individually legal:
- EB04-058 Borsalino + OP07-115 I Re-Quasar Helllp!!
- OP11-040 Monkey.D.Luffy + OP11-067 Charlotte Katakuri
- OP08-069 Charlotte Linlin + OP11-040 Monkey.D.Luffy
Look at the third one carefully. OP11-040 Monkey.D.Luffy appears in two different pairs. It cannot be played alongside OP11-067, and it cannot be played alongside OP08-069 — but OP11-067 and OP08-069 are fine together.
A validator that models "banned cards" as a flat list will pass a deck that breaks all three of these rules, because no individual card in it is banned. It is a constraint on combinations, and it needs to be checked as one.
What we do about it
collected.gg's deck validator checks pairwise exclusions as a distinct rule from the copy limit and the ban list, and it reports them by name rather than as a generic "illegal deck". If you build a list with both halves of a banned pair, you will be told which two cards and why.
